We had some really good lessons with our recent convert this week. She was teaching me more about the commandments then taught her. I love how every member of the church has something different to add and church allows us all to share with one another and grow together. We had 3 of our investigators come to church this week which was super awesome. In one of our lessons with one of them she said that she wanted to be baptized but first she wanted to know that it was true. So of course we were super excited because we were able to testify to her about prayer and how through prayer we can receive answers to any question that we have in life. My Finnish is still very broken and pretty poor in almost all respects but I was able to tell her that I knew that she could know if baptism was right. It was a really good lesson and we hope that she will continue to progress.
This week I also got roasted on multiple occasions by an older sister in our ward for my pronunciation. She is super awesome and will often come to lessons with us so we see here multiple times a week and during the lessons she makes sure that I pronounce everything right. I usually have to repeat a word until I say it right. She seems to think that by rolling her R's and then telling me to do it that I will be able to but for some reason it just hasn't been working. It has actually helped me a lot with my pronunciation so hopefully I will continue to improve and then one day I will actually be able to speak without any help. I have learned a lot this week and I hope to learn more. I feel like I am able to learn so much more when I focus on why I need to learn something. That reason is always the same and it is so I can invite others to come unto Christ. With that in mind I can learn anything.
